Partnership Academy Charter School Accountability Services
The Client: Partnership Academy is a K-6 Minnesota charter school sponsored by Project for Pride in Living, a nonprofit social service agency. The student population is primarily Latino, with most of the students speaking Spanish as their first language. The mission of the school, founded in 2002, is to empower teachers, students, families, and the broader community as partners in creating an exceptional school.
The Issue: As a relatively recent addition to the Minnesota charter school scene, Partnership Academy sought to develop an accountability plan to gauge how successfully the school is meeting the needs of its students, parents, and community stakeholders. Lange Research and Evaluation was brought in to facilitate an accountability process that examined the strengths and challenges facing Partnership Academy.
The Solution: The accountability planning process developed by Lange Research and Evaluation provides the framework for continuous improvement. The multi-faceted approach includes the identification of outcomes and indicators of success for all major stakeholders including students, staff, administration, families, and the school's board. The data gathered through the process inform staff members are they make decisions for continuous improvement, resulting in a higher level of success for all involved.
