Data Systems Development
The Client: SchoolOne, located in Cleveland, Ohio, is a national IT services company serving clients in primary and secondary education.
The Issue: SchoolOne was asked to develop an extensive online, interactive data system to manage a key client’s student data and school operations data for multiple schools with diverse operating models in multiple states. Choosing the correct data elements, analyses, and reporting formats was critical to a successful software solution. SchoolOne turned to Lange Research and Evaluation to partner on this crucial initiative.
The Solution: Lange Research and Evaluation worked closely with SchoolOne to develop specific student data analyses and reports to address student growth and achievement for traditional K-8 schools, alternative high schools, and for online (distance) learning schools. In some cases, new assessment instruments were required to monitor student growth, and in other cases data systems procedures were developed to ensure quality results. This project required in-depth knowledge of education delivery models, assessment instruments, and data systems, including databases, data handling, processing, analysis, and reporting.
